I. About YNU
长江师范学院是一所具有优良师范传统、鲜明应用特色的重庆市全日制普通本科高等学校，地处重庆市涪陵区。学校始建于1931年，办学历史悠久，学校校秉持“创新为魂、应用为要、能力为本、服务为重”的办学理念，坚持“地方性、应用型、师范性”办学定位，是中国教育部师范教育协同提质计划重点支持院校。校园占地面积1700余亩，校园环境优雅。
Located in Fuling District of Chongqing, Yangtze Normal University is a full-time undergraduate higher education institution, which boasts fine traditions of teacher education and distinctive characteristics as an application-oriented university. Founded in 1931, Yangtze Normal University has a profound school-running history. Adhering to the innovation-driven, application-oriented, ability-based, and service-focused school-running philosophy and the local-based, application-oriented and teacher-education-focused school-running orientation, the University is a key institution supported by the Collaborative Quality Improvement Plan for Teacher Education under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. The university covers an area of more than 1700 mu (280 acres), with a beautiful campus environment.

II. Discipline Construction
学校现有二级教学单位21个，本科在校生2.2万余人，有本科专业56个，其中国家级一流专业建设点3个、市级一流专业建设点12个、中外合作办学项目专业1个。认定国家级一流本科课程4门、重庆市高校一流本科课程74门。立项建设重庆市新型二级学院2个、重庆市普通本科高校示范性现代产业学院2个，重庆市普通本科高校智慧农业学院、重庆市级创新创业学院各1个。在中国高等教育学会2018-2022年全国普通高校大学生竞赛榜单中位列第175位，其中全国新建本科院校榜单排名第6位、全国师范类本科院校榜单第15位。
The university now has 21 secondary teaching units, more than 22,000 undergraduate students and 56 undergraduate majors, including 3 state-level first-class major construction sites, 12 municipal-level first-class major construction sites, and 1 Sino-foreign educational cooperation program. And 4 state-level first-class undergraduate courses and 74 municipal-level first-class undergraduate courses. The university has been approved to build two Chongqing new secondary colleges, two demonstration modern industry schools for general undergraduate institutions in Chongqing, one smart agriculture school for general undergraduate institutions in Chongqing, and one municipal-level innovation and entrepreneurship school. Yangtze Normal University ranks 175th in the 2018-2022 National College Student Competition List of the China Association for Higher Education, in which the University ranks 6th in the Sub-list for Newly-built Undergraduate Colleges and 15th in the Sub-list for Normal Universities in China.

学校现有专任教师1300余人，其中高级职称教师近600人、博士学位教师400余人。有百千万人才工程国家级人选1人，重庆市学术技术带头人、重庆市英才计划等省部级人才100余人。学校建有重庆市院士专家工作站、重庆市博士后科研工作站，拥有中国侨联、重庆市科技局等创新团队12个，重庆市研究生联合培养基地14个，重庆市研究生培养导师团队2个。
The university has more than 1,300 full-time teachers, including nearly 600 teachers with senior professional titles, more than 400 teachers with doctoral degrees, one state-level candidate for the National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project in the New Century”, and more than 100 provincial-level and ministerial-level talents, such as Chongqing academic and technical leaders and members of the Chongqing Talents Program. The university owns one Chongqing academicians and experts workstation and one Chongqing postdoctoral research workstation, 12 innovative teams under institutions such as the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Chongqing Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, 14 Chongqing joint postgraduate training bases, and 2 supervisor teams for postgraduate education in Chongqing.

学校现有重庆市“十四五”市级重点学科7个，ESI全球1%学科1个。拥有省部级科研平台26个，其中国家民委中华民族共同体研究基地1个、重庆市人文社科重点研究基地3个、重庆市重点实验室和工程研究中心5个。主办有《长江师范学院学报》、《三峡生态环境监测》（RCCSE中国核心学术期刊）等学术刊物。国家社科基金项目获批数跻身全国高校前150名。科研经费连续3年突破1亿元。先后获得教育部高等学校科学研究优秀成果二等奖、重庆市科学技术一等奖等政府成果奖40余项。在全国693所应用型本科高校科研综合竞争力排行中排名第5位。
The University now has 7 municipal key disciplines in Chongqing during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and 1 ESI's top 1% discipline. The University has 26 provincial and ministerial scientific research platforms, including 1 research base for the consciousness of the Chinese nation's community under the State Ethnic Affairs Commission of the People's Republic of China, 3 Chongqing Humanities and Social Sciences Key Research Bases, and 5 Chongqing Key Laboratories and Engineering Research Centers. The University publishes academic journals such as the Journal of Yangtze Normal University and Ecology and Environmental Monitoring of Three Gorges (RCCSE China's core academic journal). The number of projects approved by the National Social Science Fund of China ranks among the top 150 universities in China. Scientific research funds of the University have exceeded RMB 100 million for three consecutive years. The University has won more than 40 government awards for achievements such as the second prize in the Award for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education and the first prize in the Chongqing Science and Technology Award. The University ranks 5th in the National Application-oriented University Comprehensive Scientific Research Competitiveness Ranking among 693 application-oriented undergraduate universities.

V. Community Service
学校坚持“治学促乡”的社会服务理念，围绕国家重大战略和地方经济社会发展需求，积极融入成渝地区双城经济圈建设，在服务社会中展现新作为。与重庆10余个区县建立战略伙伴关系，与30余家大型企业开展产学研合作，承担横向合作项目1300余项。研究团队与企业共同研发了具有完全知识产权的全球最大单套产能精己二酸生产线，首次提出了锰锌铁氧体原料的绿色制备工艺，自主研发了分布式页岩气光纤智能感知系统，选育出国内第一个高海拔榨菜品种“高山青”；编制地方政府、企事业单位委托的旅游与产业规划30余个。
Adhering to the social service concept of promoting learning and benefiting rural areas, Yangtze Normal University has actively participated in the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and make new achievements in serving society around major national strategies and local economic and social development needs. The University has established strategic partnerships with more than 10 districts and counties in Chongqing, carried out industry-university-research cooperation with more than 30 large enterprises, and undertaken more than 1,300 horizontal cooperation projects. YNU research teams and enterprises have jointly developed the adipic acid production line that boasts the world's largest single-capacity and has full intellectual property rights, put forward the green preparation process of manganese zinc ferrite raw materials for the first time, independently developed the distributed optical fiber intelligent sensing system for shale gas, and bred China's first high-altitude mustard variety Gaoshanqing; the university also formulated more than 30 tourism and industrial plans entrusted by local governments, enterprises and public institutions.

VI. International Cooperation
学校坚持开放办学，与12个国家37所国外大学和机构签署校际合作交流协议，选派出国访学、交流师生500余名，招收来自40个国家留学生500余名，一带一路中国-马来西亚文化交流中心、中国-波兰文化研究中心等国际交流平台效益日渐凸显。
Adhering to the principle of opening up, Yangtze Normal University has signed inter-university cooperation and exchange agreements with 37 foreign universities and institutions from 12 countries. The University has sent more than 500 teachers and students abroad for academic visits and exchanges, and enrolled more than 500 overseas students from 40 countries. Against this backdrop, benefits from international exchange platforms such as the Belt and Road Malaysia-China Cultural Exchange Center and the China-Poland Cultural Research Center have become increasingly prominent.
